U23s edged out in Local Derby

Our U23s were edged out by local rivals Chichester City in a very evenly contested match.

It was our league opener under the lights at The Bunn Leisure Stadium and a tough test for the youngsters. The game was won in the second half by a solitary goal.

A notable performance from goalkeeper Lee Newall who bravely battled through his 90 minutes after being knock off his moped earlier in the day.

The Blues finished the game the stronger side, and were unlucky not to equalise in the final minutes.

A very promising start to their league campaign in front a bumper home crowd!
