Selsey FC - New Manager

Selsey Football Club has appointed Ryan Pharo as their new Club Manager. Ryan was offered the position yesterday evening by Club Chairman David Lee and has agreed to take the job with immediate effect

David Lee said “The Club are delighted that Ryan has agreed to take on the position as Club Manager and that he has appointed Calum Britton as his assistant. Even at a young age Ryan has a lot of experience within the County scene. He has proved successful whilst running reserve sides and assisting with first teams at his previous clubs Pagham and Wick. He is well respected within the Club and will have learnt a lot from Adam Hinshelwood over the last year or so. He is ambitious and wants to take the Club forward in the right way. Ryan is aware of the philosophy of the Club and how we conduct our affairs and has confirmed that he will continue with this. I have no doubt that with his enthusiasm and knowledge he will help to take the club forward. He has a strong squad available to him and one that should do well during the remainder of the season”

The Club also confirms that Steve Bailey will continue to be the reserve team manager and run the Under 18 side alongside Gary Crees. David said “Steve’s contribution to the Club has been very impressive and he has helped develop a lot of young lads who are now playing regularly with the reserves and have had opportunities within the first team. His role within the Club is very important and Steve does a fantastic job in identifying young lads and helping them with their development. I am sure that between them, both Ryan and Steve will continue to encourage the younger players that we have the Club.”

Ryan’s first games as Manager are the visit of Dorking Wanderers on Saturday followed by an away game to Ringmer on Tuesday 10th December.
